Contests, Challenges and Swaps

Found Object Challenge 2005: We were sent a plastic canister and some plastic ties.
Most of us were totally stumped on what to do!!! But we rose to the challenge.

The entries in this contest were beyond wonderful and so very creative. I thank all of you who participated. It was an extremely difficult contest to judge. Because of the large number of entries, the judges were furnished with categories and I will list those with the selected winners.

But there were 4 entries that tied for 1st place in one of the categories.
I have established a "Way Beyond Midnight" award these 4 will share equally.
I will keep this as a category for our future contests. You all are becoming more and more creative with each entry you submit. I expect to see this happen again.

Drum roll please.....

The Way Beyond Midnight Award for this Found Object contest goes to:

  • Kathleen, Lady Loves Red, with her winning entry, Elf Forest Man
  • Adrienne Goodenough, with her winning entry, Paint with Butterfly Wings
  • Dawn Free, with her winning entry, Kaleidoscope
  • Annette Husband, with her winning entry, Hands Off My Man

Congratulations to each of you for your wonderful contributions.
You will each receive $50 in After Midnight Stamps and products.

I took the liberty of disqualifying entries #5 and #6 because of their close association with After Midnight. But they do get honorable mentions.

#5 was created and submitted by Lea Cioci, whose wonderful stamp line, "Lila's Divine Play" is being produced and distributed by After Midnight.

#6 was created and submitted by Millie Owen, who works her little fingers to the bone doing all sorts of projects for After Midnight.
So, thank you for entering the contest and providing us inspiration.
