![]() I collect carnival glass, so I like the way these look in the rooms where I have it displayed. ~ Zeborah |
![]() I coated a plastic switch plate cover with Versa Mark ink and covered it with black (Currawong) Opals embossing enamel. Then I hit it with my heat gun. I like using the Heat It! Craft tool for working with embossing enamels. |
![]() While the Opals are nice and hot - lay down a piece of Fantasy Film. It will adhere to the molten Opals. |
![]() Add a layer of clear Opals (Franklin). This will give the finished piece more depth and sparkle. |
![]() Press a stamp into it while it is still hot for an interesting pattern. |
![]() Use a hot knife or soldering iron to trim the edges and clear the center space and the holes for the screws. This is a different switch plate- I didn't get a photo of the green one at this step. ;) |
![]() You can use Fantasy Film on the switch itself- or decorate with coordinating craft paints or metallic markers. |
