- 1. Stamped encaustic: The small one on white paper - rub the block of wax over the stamp in a circular motion, place the paper on the stamp, cover with a paper towel, and apply heat with the iron.
- The top (purple & blue) - The dark stamps are stamped over the cold wax with staz on ink. (positive image)
- The bottom (blue & green) - The clean stamp is heated with the iron and quickly stamped onto the cold wax. ( negative image)

- 2. Stamped whale: Stamp the whale onto the shiny (4x6) paper and dry.
Lightly cover the plate of the hot iron with clear wax and a bit of bluegreen. Skim the iron over all the paper and the image till it looks like under water. Wipe the iron clean, add a bit of blue green and ultramarine blue. Press the lower part of card to the hot wax and pull away for texture. Use the edge of the hot iron to form the seaweed. Scrape the colored wax from the white areas of the whale. ( I use a skewer stick to scrape and sign my name.)

- 3. Caves encaustic: This is a free form application. Both cards are painted with ultramarine blue, red violet, and a bit of blue green. Place the colors in large sections side by side on the hot plate of the iron. Skim the paint onto the surface of the shiny paper. Do Not over iron and Do Not apply much pressure. Practice gliding the iron and lifting for different effects.
